(1)When there are changes to the agreement contract or driver’s license, you must immediately notify and bring it to the shop.
The driver’s license (there would be a copy made before the rental)
※When the address of the renter cannot be found on the driver’s license, there may be other official documents such as health insurance cards required as well. If there are multiple drivers, there must be a copy of the driver’s license for each driver. If there is a driver who cannot attend at the time of the rental, you must still have a copy of their driver’s license beforehand.
(1)To conclude the contract, please turn in an official identification document as well as the driver’s license.
(2)In case of emergencies, please let us know your cell phone number as well as your workplace, school, or family’s contact.
(3)You may not change your rental period after the contract has been made. However, it is possible if you contact the rental shop before the rental period ends and ask to extend the date as well as paying for the extended rental period. (If the updated date is a weekend or a holiday please pay the next day before 3:00pm.)
(4)Regarding changes and re-contracts of rental conditions, we may not accept the changes and re-contracts if it hinders the business.
(5) Long-term contracts are also based on 24hr units. ※1 month rental is a rental period of 30 days.
(1)In the following cases, the rental car will be forcibly towed, and the extension fee until the towed date and the fee (actual cost) for raising the rental car will be paid.
(a)If the vehicle is not returned on the contract expiration date
(b)If the payment cannot be confirmed
(c)If penalties have not been processed for violations of the Road Traffic Act
(d)If there is no notification of changes in contact information, etc.
(2) At the time of forced towing, the lessee's personal belongings will be stored in the vehicle for up to 24 hours after towing. After that, it will be moved to a storage location and stored for up to 7 days, and if it is not picked up, it will be disposed of. Also, please note that we will not accept any protests against the loaded personal belongings.
(3) If you do not accept the forced towing, or if there is an act that interferes, we will report it to the police as a theft.
The rental car has a mileage limit of 300km for 24 hours, 1,500km for a week, And 3,000km for rental periods of 14-30 days. If you drive beyond the mileage shown on the left, an additional charge of 1 km x 10 yen (example: if you drive 3,500 km [500 x 10 = 5,000 yen]) will be incurred.
If you wish to return the rental car after the expiration date and time, please obtain the consent of the store of departure in advance. In that case, you will be required to pay the excess charge specified in the price list when you return the vehicle. In addition, if you return the vehicle after the contract expiration date and time without obtaining consent, you will be in breach of the lease contract and all damages caused by this will be borne by the contractor.
(1)According to the non-life insurance contract concluded by the company for the rental car and the compensation system established by the company, the insurance money or compensation within the following limits will be paid.
-1 Personal compensation: Unlimited (including automobile liability insurance)
-2 Objective compensation: Unlimited (deductible amount of 50,000 yen)
-3 Vehicle compensation: Not covered
-4 Personal injury compensation is 30 million yen per person (If the
disclaimer of the insurance policy or compensation system applies, the insurance or compensation provided in paragraph 1 will not be paid. If you violate the rental policy, the insurance money or compensation money stipulated in paragraph 1 will not be paid.)
(2)If you claim an accident to the insurance company, you will be required to promptly pay the deductible of 50,000 yen to us regardless of the size of the accident. If the rental car is damaged, you will be required to pay the vehicle compensation fee promptly.
(3)The vehicle compensation fee will be 50,000 yen per accident if it is driven back and returned, and 100,000 yen per accident compensation if it is not. ※Even if the vehicle is damaged due to hit-and-run, rock chips, theft, accidents that are not the responsibility of the lessee or driver, or accidents that the lessee or driver does not recognize, it will be treated as a self-damage accident, and the accident compensation amount (50,000 yen or 100,000 yen) described above. Will be paid promptly.
(4) If purchased CDW (Collision Damage Waiver), you will be exempted from the deductible and compensation fee in (2) and (3) up to 50,000 yen. Please note that NOC (non-operation charge) and tow truck charges are not exempt. ※In addition, if multiple accidents occur in the same rental, only the first accident will be applied. (You can not subscribe to or cancel the rental contract.) ※For CDW, only the lessee is applicable. If more than one person is driving, you will need to apply for CDW at the time of the rental contract.
(5)CDW cannot be purchased in any of the following conditions.
-1 If it’s been less than a year since you have obtained the driver's license
-2 If you are under 21 years old
-3 If you are over 70 years old
-4 If you have had an accident in our shop in the past
-5 If our shop determines that it is inappropriate
(6)Car insurance will be applied only if the rental car contract has been concluded.
(7)In the event of an accident, etc., you must promptly pay the NOC (Non-Operation Charge) regardless of whether or not there was negligence. In addition, even if the rental car cannot be used due to a breakdown at the contractor's responsibility, it will be treated as a self-damaged accident and will be subject to charge your deductible, compensation amount, and NOC. The NOC will be "30,000 yen" if it is driven back and returned to the sales office, and "50,000 yen" if it is not listed on the left. (The contractor will be responsible for the specified fee for the tow truck.)
(8)Automobile insurance cannot be applied in the event of an accident due to gross negligence (such as violation of laws and regulations, violation of rental contract, dozing driving, unlicensed driving, overspeeding, drunk driving, etc.) In addition to the full compensation for the rental car vehicle, you will be required to pay business compensation and negligence damage of 200,000 yen.
(9)In the case of an accident caused by carelessness in front (rear-end
collision) such as looked aside driving, CDW adaptation is not possible and the actual loss amount will be charged to the lessee.
(1) During the rental period, (hereinafter called “in use”) the lessee or the driver has the responsibility to use and store the rental car with great care.
(2) The lessee or driver shall inspect the rental car in use as stipulated in Article 47-2 (Daily Inspection and Maintenance) of the Road Transport Vehicle Law before using it every day, and carry out the necessary maintenance. If the rental period is more than 2 days, please perform the daily inspection according to the daily inspection table provided in the rental car. The lessee will be responsible for all engine damage and vehicle damage caused by neglecting daily inspections and maintenance (oil amount, radiator fluid amount, tire inspection, etc.). (Market value)
(3) If caution lamps are on around the instrument panel, or if there is a strange noise or odor, stop driving immediately and contact us. In case of a breakdown or accident caused by neglecting this, the repair fee will be borne by the lessee in full.
The lessee or driver should carry the rental documents (rental contract) while using the rental car. If you lose it, please inform the store immediately.
(1) When the police, etc. notify you of an illegal parking or abandoned parking violation, the lessee or the person who violated the parking must head to the police department and immediately pay the penalty for the illegal parking or abandoned parking violation. In addition, you must bear the various expenses such as moving, storing, and picking up the tow truck due to the parking violation.
(2)The status of violation processing shall be proofed such as a traffic foul notice, payment slip, receipt, etc. If you do not handle the parking violation, or return the rental car before processing the violation, you will be required to pay us a parking violation penalty of 25,000 yen, and you must head to the police station for the parking violation you have committed and follow legal measures as a violator. The lessee and driver are required to comply to sign the acknowledgment to agree to the policies (hereinafter called "acknowledgment contract") and actions expected as described above.
(3)If we deem it necessary, we will provide the police with materials including personal information such as a document of self-identification and a rental document, etc. In addition to the above, we will report any necessary legal matters such as a statement of defense, a self-certification, and a loan document stipulated in Article 51-4, Paragraph 6 of the Road Traffic Act to the Public Safety Commission and measures may be taken as well as the lessee and driver must agree to this.
(4)Penalties will be refunded in exchange for the traffic infringement receipt
(5)If the prescribed procedure and payment of the penalty are not completed by the stated date, future lending may be refused.
(1)If the rental car becomes unusable due to a breakdown, accident, theft or other reasons during use, the rental contract shall be terminated.
(2)You must bear the cost of picking up and repairing the rental car, and we will not refund the rental fee received. However, if the breakdown, etc. are due to a defect that existed before the rental, a new rental contract shall be concluded and the renter shall be able to receive an alternative rental car from the company.
(3)The lessee and the driver shall not be able to make any claim to the company for damages caused by the inability to use the rental car, except for the measures stipulated in this article.
(1)If you return the rental car to a place other than the designated return place without obtaining the consent of our shop, you shall pay the return place change penalty specified below. (Penalty for changing return location = The cost required due to tow to the correct location x 300% + compensation for damages)
(2)If you change the return location with the consent of our shop, you will be responsible for the towing cost to the location at the time of contract.
(3)If it cannot be returned within the rental period due to a natural disaster or other force majeure, you will not be liable for damages. In this case, please contact us immediately.
(4)When returning, please return the rental car in the presence of our employees. In addition, please return it in the same condition at the time of delivery, except for the parts worn by normal use. * Smoking is prohibited for non-smoking vehicles. If smoking is found out, a NOC + cleaning fee (20,000 yen) will be charged.
(5)When returning, please make sure that there are no leftover items. We shall not be liable for the storage of leftover items after the rental car is returned.
(1)If the rental car is not returned even though the rental period has expired, we will take legal action such as filing a criminal complaint.。
(2)In case of non-return, necessary measures shall be taken such as contacting the renter and or the driver's family, relatives, work place, etc. and operating the location information system to confirm the location of the rental car.
(3)In case of non-return, the lessee and driver will be liable for any damages caused to our shop, the cost of the rental car, and searching for the lessee or driver.
(1)In the event of a collision, accident, theft, disaster, etc., you must notify the police immediately and report it to us as well.
(2)If you have a breakdown or vehicle trouble, please contact the contract store directly from 8:00 to 18:00 on business days. If this happens during outside business hours and on holidays, please stop using the vehicle and contact us again during business hours on the next business day.
(3)Roadside service can be used only within the scope of the attached sheet. If the roadside service is not covered, all the fees will be charged and the lessee will be responsible for it.
(4)If you arrange a roadside service other than our designated service, we will not be responsible for any costs. In addition, the lessee shall comply with us and our designated service company roadside service terms.
When the police request the disclosure of personal information, we will disclose the personal information without contacting the contractor according to the law.
Please submit the requested documents without delay and cooperate with the insurance company contracted by our shop and the police with investigations when damages such as accidents and thefts occur.
(1)a. Using the rental car for the automobile transportation business without the consent of our shop.
b. Allowing someone other than the person who gave consent at the time of concluding the contract to drive the rental car.
c. Subleasing a rental car without consent or using it as collateral.
d. Modifying the rental car appearance, putting extra parts or taking off parts.
e. Using the rental car for tests and competitions without consent.
f. Using to tow or push other vehicles without consent.
g. Using a rental car in violation of laws and public order.
h. Taking out non-life insurance for rental cars without consent.
i. Exporting rental cars out of Japan.
j. Loading more than the weight limit and riding with more than the capacity.
(2)If the prohibited act is discovered, it will be considered as a violation of the rental contract, and the rental car will be returned immediately and compensations for damages will be made.
If the rental car becomes dirty or odorous due to something other than normal use and the rental car cannot be used for business purposes, we will charge 200,000 yen + NOC.
If the options (navigation, ETC, etc.) are damaged or lost, we will charge the actual cost for repair.
If you lose your key during the rental period, you will need to pay the actual key fee + shipping fee and it may take some time before we hand it over to you. In the case of a distant place, we will introduce a specialist.
Pets are not allowed on board. If it is discovered, we will charge 100,000 yen + NOC as a cleaning fee.
Please return the rental car with a full tank of gas. If the fuel is not full, you will have to pay in cash when you return.
We “Eco Car rental” are not liable for any business, mental or personal troubles of the lessee or related parties. In addition, we will not accept any claims of compensation.
1. The lessee (including the person who intends to apply for the rental contract) and the driver(hereinafter call "lessee" and "driver") must agree that the personal information of the lessee and the driver could be disclosed for the following purposes.
(1)To fulfill the obligations of the rental car company based on the basic instruction related to the rental car(Automobile Travel No. 138 dated June,13,1995 hereinafter called "The Basic Instructions'') such as the creation of a rental certificate.
(2)To verify and screen the identity of the lessee and or driver.。
2. The lessee and the driver agree that we" Eco Car Rental" can provide the personal information of the lessee and the driver to a third party to the extent shown below. However, the lessee and the driver can request to stop providing their personal information to the third party.
(1)Provided contents: Information on rental car rentals such as vehicle class, the purpose of use, rental start date and time, and personal information such as the name and address of the renter and driver.
(2)Where to provide and purpose of use: Eco Car Rental will use this information to improve customer service and customer satisfaction in the future.
